I might be affected by this bug as well.
Apart from the laptop getting really, really hot, symptoms include CPU
frequency down scaling once the laptop gets too hot which results in
really poor performance. The CPU stops scaling up and stays at 800 Mhz.

I can't get the backtrace instructions to work with a command line
program with arguments to it. gdb assumes the arguments are for gdb,
which doesn't work.

Well, the program only crashes when using ltrace. If I'm not using
ltrace it just hangs.
It's impossible to produce a gdb backtrace since the instructions does
not work with giving command line arguments to the program.
