2016-05-20 Thread Adwin
Public bug reported: The bcmwl 6.30.223.141/248/271 driver versions (both vanilla & ubuntu- patched up to .248) hardlock the system (freeze) on vanilla kernel 4.6.0. Reproducibility: always The freeze seems to be faster with increased network usage (can happen within minutes of a fresh boot).

@epic456 I compiled a monolithic 4.6 kernel build using vanilla sources. The bcmwl driver builds properly using dkms. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582918 Title: Failed to build

I have the same issue with kernel 4.6 (vanilla) & the all 6.3 versions of the bcmwl driver. The 248 driver paired with the 4.4.8 ubuntu kernel seems to be working fine for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.
