Various members have tried to help. Basically when I try to either
remove software using synaptic or Ubuntu software center I get error
messages and the process fails to complete. I try to do updates and that
also fails. I tried to remove Virtualbox and received error

Playing cd on rhythmbox and no sound from external speakers but
computers speakers are working fine. Tested external speakers with my
