You need to install grub version 1 if your Karmic install is using
grub2. VMbuilder will then be able to create an image but the next
problem is the image will not boot unless you manually install grub.

I agree with the OP. I saw screenshots and it seems that the scrollbar can
be obtrusive. I think, having a colorized scrollbar is preferred for
subtle colors (like the blue on the default Clearlooks).

I tried changing the status of the packages under 'Manual' to
'Automatically Installed' by using the option in the 'Package' menu
entry.
For most of them they changed without a fuss. However a few packages
uninstalled key parts of the system. The only

Well, it's not forcing a logout on Karmic. The game is refusing to
start.
The partition I made for OS testing isn't large enough for Half-Life 2
and I'm not sure if other games will cause the same crash. Lemme
install StarCraft or something to my Jaunty partition and let me get

People in other forums have said to add the user account to the audio
group and I already was a member of audio. I checked all the same
permissions checkboxes in the account window. Nothing

A little bit more information for you... I can play sound from Totem if
I use sudo totem /file/location from the terminal. This tells me that
it's definitely a user permission issue with my account. I checked which
groups I'm a member of and here's the list:

Amazing, no it doesn't happen in a guest session. So, that leads me to
the question, how do I erase the configuration data for my user
account's Totem setup so it'll rebuild it properly?

Yeah. I just switched the default playback device to VLC and MPlayer
where available. VLC seems to work better than MPlayer to read malformed
files, but I like the players to be self contained and not open up 2
windows, like the control window and the playback window. This is why

It may not have anything to do with pulseaudio.
I have intel graphics so I followed

kernel from the howto, the sleep problem is fixed. I hope it would be
fixed in the default kernel.

Computer wakes up
I am aware of that folder. However, it is incomplete. I copied and
pasted the notification icons from the Human icon theme but Network
Connected icon still doesn't appear. I don't know what else doesn't
appear.

With the virtualbox plugin, I run my virtual machines directly with
GNOME Do. However, the first action choice if a VM is selected is to
copy it to clipboard.
It would be better if the first choice is to start the VM followed by
other VM
