Hello. I had same issue just after updating to linux-image-2.6.32-33-generic. Tested with few external HDD, same effect, doesn't matter have HDD power supply or take power via USB. Rollback to 2.6.32-32, HDD "safely remove" works fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a me
