All, this bug affects me, however I have a solution. (with help from the

Hi, I have a brand new Acer F5-571 with a qualcomm atheros device and the
wireless doesn't work. I removed windows10 and installed the latest ubuntu-mate
wily 15.10 (same issue in mint 17.3). I'm somewhat of a newbie so please be
gentle. I have tried a number of the points in this bug report

Using xfce 4.10 from a xubuntu installation.
Problem
a) I will now go into my bios and check that ECC is enabled.
Perhaps the restricted dialogue box could request this before installing the
driver that should not function.
b)if Unbunto would list the recommended Nvidia driver first on the list of

On installing OS (9.04 downloaded 05 Sep 09) on clean machine (64bit
version) package crash seen during install and on a subsequent update.
