Further to my duplicate report,

i propose that either the 'Now playing x' information, or the bar which
moves as the song plays, should be moved to the empty space highlighted
in orange on my last image, freeing up more room to show

Evince hangs on opening a particular pdf

I've tried changing font and font sizes, but this problem rests solely
with rhythmbox. The bar that moves when a song plays makes longer
letters in the song name totally illegible.

The space in orange is prime real estate for the Now playing x
information really, leaving the progress bar where it is, though
slightly up, which in turn means fitting more library information on the
screen when maximised.
** Attachment added: Unused space which is dying to be used to solve this
The top part, above the now playing bar, actually has some unused space
- this could hold the bar which moves, as the song progresses, leaving
the 'now playing x by x' information legible.
This is a vital but easy to fix bug; i'm tempted to mess around with the
code myself but i profess a sincere
My workaround nowadays is to go to the Network Manager icon and edit the
connection to put my desired MAC address as the 'cloned address'.
When i start the computer back up, it's once again got a different MAC address
and eth* number but i can change it to the current one - which is a tiny bit

A cosmetic issue exists in rhythmbox. I hope to attach a picture but

Fixes seem to have been released for similar bugs? But anyway:
I opened a 13 page pdf (3.1MB) (which was made in simple-scan) and for
some reason (first time i've seen this behaviour with evince), it slowed

Might i make a suggestion (since i'm still getting this) - why does
simple-scan not behave more like libreoffice does - if a document
crashes, libreoffice tries to recover it.
Why not save a (temporary?) copy of everything that has been scanned so
far in the session and then if the program

Further to comment 18, when the shutdown option is selected from the
