With Ubuntu 9.04, on LG LS70 express laptop - with intel chipset, all updated -
i have same problem.
BUT inputing xrandr --auto in terminal works fine and sets the 2 displays
right.

Forgot to state in last post I'm connected to an external Samsung T240
Syncmaster.
By the way - at the login screen i do see the screens mirrored but as soon as I
login - one of the screens goes to standby.
