[Bug 296451] Re: gnome-power-manager needs several minutes to load at startup

2009-03-14 Thread Arnaud Soyez (Weboide)
This seems related to this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571006 But they say the problem might come from Xorg that gives false brightness values about the LCD screen. On my HP Mini 1000, removing any dimming option in the gnome-power- manager preferences is a good work around.

[Bug 306935] Re: [needs-packaging] Eina

2009-03-05 Thread Arnaud Soyez (Weboide)
I tried again packaging it and to change the name to eina-player but it is harder than it seems (at least for me). Just changing the package name in debian/changelog, debian/control doesn't work all the way properly. I tried making a patch with changes in configure.in and run autoreconf

[Bug 306935] Re: [needs-packaging] Eina

I just found there is a package already named Eina in Debian repos. http://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=sourcenameskeywords=eina It produces libeina. -- [needs-packaging] Eina https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306935 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

Xuzo, I finally got time to prepare a very clean and working package for Eina. You can try it from my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~weboide/+archive/ppa Tell me if you still have the intent to package it. Otherwise I'll upload it to REVU (after the name conflict has been resolved). Thanks! --

Updated debdiff. Jordan, Thanks for noticing this out. Looking at the maintainer's guide, it would be better that ffmpeg2theora would be in recommends because the scripts wouldn't work otherwise but you pointed out we can't so I changed the debdiff and moved ffmpeg2theora into suggests and

2009-02-16 Thread Arnaud Soyez (Weboide)
As Nathan said, the versionning 3.12c-0ubuntu1 is conventionnally correct. Plus, upstream has also version 3.12b. And one more reason is that their tarball is named devede-3.12c.tar.bz2 so we have to match that too. And superseeding can occur with no problem. Setting status to fix released. **
