I have the same issue.
I have Virtualbox running as well.
I'm not switching between users. Just standby and resume.

It could also be because of DNSsec. I have seen HTTP working, though
HTTPS failing.
When adding the Google nameservers before the default (127.0.0.53,
systemd-resolver) everything works as expected.

I switched from Ubuntu 10.10 to Xubuntu 11.10. Found this issue and it
annoys me. Is there a configuration option for it? This works in ubuntu
