I can confirm that manually editing the x and y values in

working, then one day it wasn't.

The new notification area in Lucid has two issues. Spacing and applet
behavior.
The notification area now takes up almost a whole 1/4 of my top panel.
For those of us who don’t like having two panels and want their window
list up the top, it leaves

The checkbox should be in line with all the other icons, not randomly
out to one side.
Actually, having a checkbox at all is silly. It should be just
play/pause - you don't need a checkbox.

It’s about time that Ubuntu changed the default font size from 10, 96
dpi to something a bit smaller. I use size 8, 96 dpi with Sans and it’s
perfectly legible. Having a gigantic font size suggests that our
operating system is a toy for kids.

Here’s stock Firefox with with ascending font sizes. Notice how much
more room Firefox has with 8px – practical for netbook users, no?
