You should not need to change your full install, just install the necessary
locale and change the menu entry to german locale.
Or start the program from a root shell:
# export DISPLAY=:0
# xauth -f ~/mvo/.Xauthority extract - $DISPLAY | xauth merge -
# LANG=de_DE.utf-8 adept_installer

Recipe:
* choose manual partitioning at step 4
* after every change of mount point or format flag, a window containing a
progress bar and a cancel button pops up.
* hit that cancel button (on this machine the window stays open for about 4
seconds)
* continue with manual changes until done

done. Had a variant of #95429 at first, but was able to reproduce the bug with
debug enabled.
BTW. : The ubiquity works if i patiently wait until the progress window
vanishes and the form window has been updated.
