It's very simple: The fonts exists. I tried to change the source and the
version. Deleting and installing in the same sinaptic process seems to
make synaptic a little bit crazy.

I wrote:
Perhaps one of the changes above is the solution of my problem. Btw i removed
with synaptic somes packages. But i don`t believe that on of those removed
packages are of interest with my reported problem:
xserver-xgl
xserver-xorg-input-wacom
xserver-xorg-input-all
When I have re-installed xserver-xgl, then the bug came back. Therefore
the package xserver-xgl had to be absent.

: The resolution of the start screen is 1280x1024.
The graficcard is an agp (4x) one with one monitor. On the Intel i815
motherboard is a second onboard graficcard, unused and less solution.

Now I have Gutsy Gibbon: No problem with the new kernel. This fault is

disabling all modules and deleting the ' Section DRI ' leads to
nothing: No start with the 2.6.20-Kernel.
But as i deactivated the whole Module-section i had to start with strg-
alt-f2 (or 2?). Ubuntu didn't start in the grafic mode. Therefore i
copied the backup-file to xorg.conf.

caused by my old pc with a matrox millenium G450 AGP Dualhead graphic
card (32 Mb SDRAM). I guess there isn't installed a driver for this
card.

Now i can run Feisty Fawn with the 2.6.17-17-generic kernel, but not
with the standard 2.6.20-15-generic kernel. To select the
2.6.20-15-generic kernel isn't possible. The first text line starting
up... is shown, nothing else. The loading process doesn't start. What's

test.rm is completely deleted. Sorry for this. I tried to start a
Realplayer-File by clicking in the nautilus-browser (no command line).
