I still see this as well. I also notice that when hovering over the bar
after this starts happening, it resizes by a few px.
It also results in things like remmina no longer populating it OR the
top bar with its icons.
I do have gnome-tweaks installed, and seems that the resizing issue goes
away

Confirmed with 12.10, newest update.
mtp-files, mtp-folders, mtp-detect take abnormally long to work, and you can't
browse anywhere in the GUI itself, as the device just times out.
gmtp also takes forever,

from getting a kernel panic within 5 minutes of going into battery mode
to not getting it for the duration of my Eee 1000HE's battery life (so,
