My problem is gone after an update of Virtualbox to 2.1. I think it was
due to missing guest additions.

But the bug is still there in virtualbox 1.5.6, which is shipped with Hardy,
which is LTS.
So I don't think it's invalid.

I had no problems installing Jaunty in virtualbox using the console installer.
I finished the install and it rebooted my system.
Jaunty starts to load, the progress bar shows more than 90% and suddenly
virtualbox reports a crash.

Open a console and type : sudo iwpriv eth1 set_vlanmode 0
