Experiencing this bug using 7265

 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Wireless 7265 [8086:095a] (rev 59)
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 [8086:5110]
        Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi


running kernel 4.8.0-53-generic, ubuntu 16.04.1 based Peppermint 8

The machine connected to 5G signals flawlessly running windows and
previous kernels, but the firmware bucks on connection to 5G signals.

it tries to load a few .ucode firmwares before settling on -22.
