I confirm that "options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-micsense" added to alsa-base 
solved the problem.
Now I have sound from headphones too. Jacksensing works perfectly.

Model: Toshiba P105-S9337

OS: Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 LTS

aplay -l output:

PS: It worked in opensuse 11 too. add that line to /etc/modprobe.d/sound
