have you tried going into the remmina properties, and uncheck the
minimize to tray
This seems to have fixed the problem when remmina locks up when I
minimize the windows.

I also have this behavior on 12.04 64bit. I have started just running
remmina from a terminal, so when I forget and minimize, I can just
switch to the terminal, hit ctrl-c up arrow, then enter :)
