Same warnings on Narty. I see the same transfer rates using a USB 3.0
or USB 2.0 port.

I have the same problem with my Asus EeePC 1201T, with ATI Radeon HD 3200
Graphics.
I installed Unity on top of my Xubuntu, XFCE was running without problems.

When trying to convert a file in the FLAC format to ogg format using
oggenc (oggenc --quality 5 track02.flac), the program return ERROR:

When I try to compile any document that include a figure in pdf format,
the error appear.
Reading other bugs (https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/tetex-
bin/+bug/29313), I think that is related with the version of libpoppler
used to compile the pdftex binary and the
Downgrading the libpoppler from version 0.54 to 0.51 ( dapper package
libpoppler1_0.5.1-0ubuntu7_i386.deb) soved the problem.
