I will try to. However, it seems bugzilla.kernel.org is down right
now...

Well, I tried the nouveau driver last night as well after completely
uninstalling the nvidia binary drivers and it only got worse. Resuming
after a Suspend to RAM caused everything but the display to resume. I
could SSH into the machine and do whatever, but the display would not
return.
As for
Yup, I will try later this evening when I get home. Thanks.

So I've tried 3.1-rc9 and 3.1.0-999-201110171146 (today's daily build)
and both produce the exact same results as 2.6.38 and 3.0.1. I assume
that trying older daily builds and release candidates will give the same
results as well, so is it worth trying them?
I have a feeling this is video-driver
Update after upgrading to 11.10. The problem still exists (Suspend to
RAM works and resumes no problem, Suspend to Disk works, but resume does
NOT). The only difference is that now it actually says that it's loaded

After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 this morning, I have the same
problem on a desktop system with an Intel Core-i7 920. Suspending to
disk works fine, but resuming hangs with a blank blue screen. The hard-
drive light is steady for a while as it presumably loads the hibernate
image, but then goes
The softpedia workaround works for me using proprietary Nvidia drivers,
BUT when I hibernate my machine, it won't come resume - it just hangs.
Not sure if this reported as another bug or not, but some googling has
indicated that using uvesafb with the proprietary nvidia drivers can

I tried using apport-collect but it only allows me to create a new bug
report. It won't let me append to an existing bug (maybe that should be
reported as a bug or a feature enhancement request). Is there another
way of collecting sys-info automatically?

Dell Mini 1012 Won't Wake From Sleep
This is not a Dell-only bug. I can confirm that I get identical behavior
on my ZaReason-built Intel Core i7 machine (Linux buddha
2.6.35-22-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Sun Oct 10 09:26:05 UTC 2010 x86_64

Any chance the patch will be available for 2.6.31-15 on amd64? I'm
having the same problem but not on an HP laptop. It's a desktop machine
with the Realtek ALC889 chipset.
