pteid-mw_ubuntu16_amd64.deb, witch is Portuguese Citizen Software and gives the
followin error:

Well, I did several tests of having a clean system, installing only the
libvirt0 package and then compiling and installing libvirt-bin with
--prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var, and libvirt0 still makes
my compiled version crash. Did I miss a directory?

libvirt-bin 3.4+ compiled from official libvirt sources. It should be replaced
by a dummy package.
I've tested this with libvirt 3.4 and libvirt 3.5, both versions will fail if
libvirt0 is installed.

The issue I reported (1273821) also reports that by installing Nvidia
proprietary drivers the transparent rectangle behind the text will also
disappear.
Anyone else can confirm this? Reverting to the Nvidia Open Source
drivers and deleting XFCE4 configuration file will not fix this problem.

In my attempt to solve the problem I have seen that there isn't a
problem of gnome-shell and is a ubuntu problem with the graphic card,
because if it detects the graphics card and installed drivers is not in
use.

I purge ppa repository and installed gnome-shell, but nothing. I
installed ubuntu again for clean all. And installed gnome-shell but the

Seth: the version 0.5 and 0.6 are working much better, no more middle
clicks when doing a two finger scrolling. I'm still seeing some left
clicks in some cases, I'll try to reproduce them, and send you the data.

Seth, I've attached dmesg-stray-click.txt after following your
instructions. Two middle clicks where fired during the test. I used two
fingers and made an horizontal scroll for about one second.

The 0.3 patch is working for me, multitouch enabled. But there are some
problems I see:
1. When enabling two finger scrolling it works but lots of middle clicks are
fired, specially on horizontal scroll.
2. Hovering the finger very close over the touchpad without actually touching

Hi Seth, thanks a lot for the patches. On my computer (Dell Inspiron
N5110, opensuse 11.4 kernel 3.0.4, just touchpad, no trackstick) it's
working well. Just 3 problems:
1. When leaving my finger over the touchpad without movement, the cursor
moves erratically ±1 pixel (but stays in the same place
