After upgrading to ubuntu 24.04, after a few reboots my touchpad stopped
working.
After a while it started to work again, but now it stopped again.
When I run xinput my touchpad it is not listed.

Reverting invalid as the reported bug wasn't resolved. Only part of the
issue is that Adobe Reader didn't open, the other part was that Firefox
shouldn't just throw a fatal error when this occurs. While it maybe

Chowning the ~/.dbus directory fixed the issue, also fixed an issue I
had with gwibber. Seems like at some point ~/.dbus fell under root's
control. I had the gwibber issue before upgrading to Intrepid, so it's
not an upgrade issue either.

I've had this issue to one degree or another for a while. I have a Dell
inspiron e1505n. In feisty, it would take a while for the machine to
come back from sleep. In the hardy beta, it won't come back from sleep
at all. Tell me what logs you need and I'll attach.
