much harder to integrate the compiz functions in. If you install compiz,
that breaks xfwm4, since compiz is a replacement window manager for

update-manager -d fails to allow upgrade from 10.10

After upgrading from Xubuntu 10.10 fresh install with no added
applications, I can now choose any Ubuntu or Xubuntu session at login.
This also happens in both i386 and amd64 installs.

This was a fresh install of Xubuntu 10.10 to test. Running Alt+F2,
update-manager -d, shows the update manager, but no upgrade to be done.
/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades has "Prompt=normal".

This is already a part of Xubuntu. You do have to install the plugin and
then activate it.
Please open Synaptic Package Manager and install "xfswitch-plugin". Then
you can right-click the panel, add new items..., add "User Switching".
