No, the library is all you need.
The latest xserver-xorg-core 1.11.4-0ubuntu9 includes a fix for compiz
touchscreen interactions. Now you can drag the window by using the title
bar, and the Unity grab handles work again.
However, I still see an issue where compiz is not always
I don't think asking xf86-input-synaptics to listen to unrelated events
is a good idea. However, there is functionality already present in
synaptics that we may be able to use: the Synaptics Off option.
Syndaemon already uses this to disable the trackpad when the user is

We are using a 1.11 xserver as our base, and then backporting the 1.12
input stack on top. Along the way, the input option api/abi was changed,
but in a way that did not cause any compilation failures or even
warnings due to bad programming style.
