This does not occur immediately when the machine is started, but only after 
inserting and/or removing a USB stick in a random USB port. 
When this is going on, a new usb stick is not recognized anymore. Also cards 
inserted in that card reader are not recognized as it does when the machine has 
just started.

Killing hald-addon-storage stops the logging. But after restarting
/etc/init.d/hal it starts again right away.
