I've tried to install Ubuntu 18.04 on two different hard disks,
selecting GRUB to install in different locations each time. Hasn't
worked on 5 attempts so far. Checked the USB drive for errors and none
were found. System seems to install but without GRUB I can't boot into

Originally was trying to dual boot, finally wiped the drive in attempts
to do a clean install. Install is still failing after setting display to
100%.
Installing on MBP 12,1

Did I post that correctly? I ended up having to run the commands as
root. I didn't refresh before i started spewing, so I missed your

Probably should have mentioned I'm attempting to dual boot with Windows
10, GPT - UEFI, on a MacbookPro 12,1. Intend on installing rEFInd once I
finished with this install and then take it from there. I already had
the drives partitioned accordingly. Anything else you need to know,
please don't hes

I seem to be having the same problem... Total noob, tried running # lspci -nnvv
# dmidecode in terminal, but nothing returned. Here's a copy of the installer
debug file, hopefully it will help, and I'm willing to try whatever else to
help resolve the issue, just talk to me like I'm in pre-scho
