Attempted clarification :
... and there seems to be a recursive failure {with apport}.
That is; It crashes when it tries to read (?) the the /var/crash file from the
installation that points at the JDK.
Clearing /var/crash of the jdk and apport crashes seems to leave a system that
runs clean.

I'm not sure if it's exactly this bug, or if the effect I'm seeing is
deliberate, but after updating today the notification bubbles are really
small. I have a 127dpi screen and use 6.5pt as my application font, and
it seems like notify-osd is now using 4 or 5pt and I can barely read it!

behaviour is that my application font is set to 6.5pt and notify-osd's
extract_point_size() is assuming that font sizes are integers.

Incorrect xrandr error notification when changing
I don't immediately recall any huge differences in that area - I presume you're
upgrading from an older ubuntu to a newer one? It's possible you're seeing more
terminal bells from bash, but I'm not sure offhand.
We can leave the bug open if you want, and see if anyone else notices it.

gnome-do can't intellihide very well on multiple monitors of different sizes

I have two monitors, the secondary of which is larger than the primary, so
there is some dead space below the primary monitor which I cannot see (but my
mouse pointer can stray into).
Since Do is on the primary monitor, at the bottom, and set
I think Luke means the fix for on-screen keyboard allows access to user
files without login (LP: #440371) which doesn't seem to be committed
anywhere.
I've attached the diff between onboard-0.91ubuntu2 and onboard-0.91.2
that contains the fix.

I use VNC to control remote IP KVMs and when machines reboot they tend to
change screenmode quite a lot.
Each time this happens, gtk-vnc seems to have a small amount of corruption in
part of the new screen (instead of it being black or some other background
colour).
screenshot of the issue in action, and a one-line patch to fix it are
both on the upstream gnome bug.
