Public bug reported:
The battery life tool is incorrectly predicting the life of the battery
in Ubuntu 11.10.
This causes an unwanted shutdown when the laptop has plenty of power
left. It has done this immediately after pulling the power out of the
back of the laptop - My battery is not faulty.
Someone has blogged about this has a potential cure:

Should this be renamed Enable keyboard shortcuts for clarity?
The help documentation tells you which shortcut keys should be used, but
fails to mention that these need enabling.
The help could do with amending to prevent other users from

I'd just like to register that Ubuntu does not yet have support for the
Lenovo 3000 N200 fingerprint reader.
I'm aware that this is a feature that is a nice-to-have, but it would
give Ubuntu that wow factor.

This is a little embarrassing. The PC that has the shutdown problem no
longer belongs to me. I helped out a friend in need the PC is now on
its way to France!
I realize that I should have taken the required information before
giving it away, but neglected to do so.
I'm truly sorry for wasting

When I select 'Shut Down' my system appears to start shutting down

sleep, but the system stays switched on.
I have to press the power button to kill the system.
I am unsure which logs may be of assistance.

The colour printer Dell 3100cn appears not to be supported at first
glance.
However, the Lexmark Optra Color 1200 is supported uses the same
drivers.
Would it be possible to add support for the Dell 3100cn by linking it
to the same driver the Lexmark Optra Color 1200 uses?
