After booting, wireless is disabled, but it works after clicking Enable
wireless. After a resume from suspend to mem, however, it is disabled
again and when Enable wireless is clicked it won't reconnect.

Does anyone have a workaround to make the vesa driver show the resolution
1366x768 ? I remember once there was a package called 915resolution
for ubuntu 6.0 which added widescreen resolutions for the intel chip,
but this package does not exist anymore.

Is there any other idea for blocking the vesafb?
Yes. I learned that parts of the kernel can be deactivated by feeding
incorrect parameters to non-existing modules :-)
