I have only found two differences between the ubuntu and the debian
version.

1. There is this additional line at the bottom of the include list in ubuntu:

2. The DEB_JARS variable is different.

I use Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 in intrepid.
I often have the following problem when I start thunderbird the first time after
boot. When I open a mail and click on delete
the mail is moved to the trash but the mail window stays open.
