Hrm, I'm not actually sure. I just know that somewhere in the
pptpconfig gui, I could put lines that would eventually be added to
resolv.conf when the connection was established. Sorry for being so
vague.

I encountered this bug also in Kubuntu 7.04. Here's my story...
1) I created a bad pptp connection profile because I didn't select the
type. If you do that, it actually creates a file for it in
~/.gconf/system/networking/vpn_connections/profile_name_here which then
won't allow you to reuse

Sorry, I forgot to add that I'm using a Centrino based notebook.
Pentium M, ATI Radeon x300, SATA hard disk, PATA cdrom. I have tried
using both 'ati' and 'radeon' drivers for X, neither one lowered the cpu
usage any. The problem seems to be related to X because if I login into
single mode and
I am experiencing this also on my Pentium M / Radeon x300 laptop. My
coworkers laptops (Gentoo, Fedora Core 5, Centos) are all stready at 99%
idle in the same situation, where as I am all over the place 10 - 100%
idle.
My entire desktop is sluggish because of it. I've tried using both the
'ati'
The problem only occurs on my laptop. My desktop machine runs fine.
They both are running Kubuntu 6.06, fully upgraded.
