It looks like when it removed rpcbind to resolve the package conflict it
didn't shut it down so there was an error binding to the port when
portmap tried to startup:

After a reboot everything worked perfectly. I tried switching between
portmap and rpcbind multiple times but wasn't able to reproduce the
problem. I did see that it shutdown rpcbind on uninstallation, I'm not
sure why it hung. I didn't have any nfs mounts active or any other RPC
services but it
I can confirm the same problem although the workaround is effective.
I'm not sure why it needs these definitions though, the Groupwise SOAP
access is over port 7191 and nothing uses the native Groupwise ports
(1677) that I know of.
