hard drive in in pre-fail state (for example my BIOS stop the boot if an
hd is in pre-fail state).

I have the same problem!
Launching nm-applet on the console say:
nm-applet: error while loading shared libraries: libnm-glib-vpn.so.0: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
In /usr/lib there is a libnm_glib_vpn.so.0 whit underscore, not dash,
why?
Please... attention on
Renaming libnm_glib_vpn.so.0 to libnm-glib-vpn.so.0 or make a symbolic
link to libnm-glib-vpn.so.1 solve this problem.

Everytime a contact (of Facebook network) is online, Pidgin show a
notification, but it activate the indicator applet too. Indicator applet
is useful only for unread messages, is not it?

I have the same problem. But this behavior only appears in
notifications, in the contacts window all the contacts appear with their
correct names.
