on Ubuntu-Mate 16.04 installing the plugin went smootly, i just had to

not work (16.04 Ubuntu mate) without installing hplip-gui and running
hp-plugin. Also there is no warning anywhere telling me i have to run
hp-plugin to make the printer work.

not sure if its evolution, but every day, w/o reason, the hard drive

This is still a issue with Ubuntu 8.04, the fr_CA start page is only
