I downgraded like the reporter and things appear to be working now. Earlier, off a fresh install and prior to installing any nvidia drivers, my Ubuntu 10.10 desktop was running off the right and bottom of my Sony Vaio F Series' 1920x1080 screen, regardless of resolution setting. It seemed like the

The problem has appeared to go away for me. About two weeks after filing the report, I wiped my machine and re-installed Ubuntu 9.10 with what I believe was all the packages I had previously added, except for all those that use KDE. Whatever the reason, I have not had the problem since the re-ins

My crash dialog says that "apport-gpu-error-intel.py", and when I report it I get directed to log an error here under xserver-xorg-video-intel. I assume this is intended behavior, and that apport isn't itself actually crashing (contrary to my original post), but please let me know if I should be lo

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel This seemed to start out of the blue about 3 or 4 weeks ago...prior to that I never had the issue. It may have started just after I installed kubuntu 9.10 on top of my ubuntu 9.10, though I'm not sure how to verify that. I have

Update: I found my way into the config file and edited it manually to change my auto-hide bottom panel into a non-auto-hide top panel, rebooted, and so far it seems my problem has gone away. I did realize while in the config files that had earlier created (and later forgot) an auto-hide right pane

I too am having this same issue. My situation may echo comment #17 (auto-hide on bottom triggers?) and #15 (generally hosed OS after onset). For me it started at the next boot after I had created an always-on-top panel at the bottom and also an auto-hide panel at the bottom. (rationale side not
