When I start Gnome with iPod connected via USB-Cabel the iPod doesn't
get recongized by Rhytmbox. I have to reconnect the iPod (USB) to get
recongnized by Rhytmbox. The iPod is from 2003. Maybe it's a Gnome and
not a Rhytmbox issue, but I's so damm user unfriendly that the

Everytime I start Gnome, OpenOffice 2.3 starts and tries to open home
/my-username-here/%U. This happens after I used OpenOffice on Gutsy and
was restarting. I don't know If OpenOffice was open or not while
shuting down - I only know that I used it before. I have no sessions
Okay I tried some applications and the situation is much better than a
year ago... so I have only fantasdic 1.0-beta3 as an example of
another application having the close-button problem in the about dialog.

So, the problem was related to the cdrom drive (sr0) in combination with
the cdr is used for burning the iso. I did some testing on other

I tried to boot the feisty final release live cd on an toshiba satelitte
p20 and got some kind of frame buffer error messages related to the
device sr0 and sr0_bread. The same error messages return a couple of
times and then the xserver started. The waiting-cursor animation

chipset from RaLink worked out of the box on ubuntu edgy. I just had
to type my WEP-Key into the network-admin - what a feeling... On the
Feisty Beta Live CD the device is recognised as ra0 like on edgy before

now it works for me, I haven't changed something, it seems they have
FIXED IT with the last updates from ubuntu (with the release of gnome
2.16?)! so this bug could be closed! or not?

I'm on edgy eft and I have the same problems with my sis onboard graphic
card. It's dawn slow and the windows hangs, when i'm chainging the
position of them. in abiword scrolling in an 8 pages document is
imbossible, but I have a duron amd and above 500mb ram an on ubuntu

all german umlaute in my contact list aren't shown correctly (ü = ü
etc.). when I change them with the alias... option (on right click in
the contact list) to correct ü to ü manually, the umlaute ä ö ü are
shown correctly. When I close Gaim and start it again the umlaute are
broken again.
