hasn't crashed yet. Though this is far from definitive, it seems
something Yakuake does tends to trigger this bug. Anyhow, a userspace
app shouldn't be able to bring X down.

Hi. After installing linux-image-rt and rebooting, everything seems to
go OK until GDM starts. Then, I get a blank screen with only the mouse
pointer. I can switch to a TTY and type my login name, but it hangs

GDM started, I even got to log in, but it froze completely after a few

No, this is strictly a GConf corruption issue, and I have no idea what
caused it. I'll upload my system/gstreamer gconf directory, since
removing it, logging out and in fixed the issue for me. I know it's
probably impossible to figure out what caused it, but just in case!

In my gdm.conf it says 'Browser=true', and I haven't edited that file ever
(in fact, I think it gets overwritten on every new gdm version). It _may_
get activated automatically when you select a theme with facebrowser, but
I'm not sure.

Sorry for confirming it, I misread the original post. In Evolution, my
Google Calendar events show up OK, but in the time applet in gnome my
events show up with -3h. It used to work OK in Feisty, now using Gutsy
beta, so this is a regression.

My $0.02: I agree completely. It would be good interface design to ask
every question first, so the user doesn't have to check every 5 minutes
to see if it requires input. In my case, I had to agree to several /etc
overwrites, a list of services to be restarted by PAM, etc.

I had the same thing happen to me. Update-manager aborted because it
couldn't find one package in ~1400 (mostly because of a shaky internet
conenction), asked me to fill out a bug report, said my system could be
left in a broken state, etc; when all it needed was to retry.

Just a comment: I've tried CompComm from the SVN packages build by
Evandro and the same thing happens. Since I've disabled Beryl it hasn't
happened anymore, so it's definitely related, at least in my case. If

Same happened to me. Added
Option AddARGBGLXVisuals True
to xorg.conf in Device section and it worked, though I'm having trouble
with the maximize button.
