I had the same issue. Updating to new Webkit version (libwebkit-1.0-1)
from the webkit ppa does solve the issue.

I have the same issue on Intrepid, using standard configuration. F11
solution works. Just opening a new firefox window does not work, the new
window has no window decoration either. The issue appeared after an
update, which I *think* contained among others compiz and x11.

After the latest updates (16-Oct-2008) the problem now seems solved for
my system, Intrepid on Thinkpad Z61t.
