I'm using a Huawei E169 USB dongle to connect to a GSM mobile broadband
network. It used to work out-of-the-box with Jaunty and previous
versions of Karmic (kernel 2.6.31-11 and previous). However the device
doesn't work any more with the latest kernel.

Hi,
I've tried this on the LiveCD (because I'v done many things on my
installed system, see my first message here). It doesn't work, event
after doing sudo dpkg-reconfigure kdeprint. I still get the same list
of drivers, that doesn't include all Epson Stylus C/CX/DX printers.
I've done
Unfortunately, the bug was not fixed in the final release.

Sorry for the latest message.
I'm now running the LiveCD to check if it is the case on the default
system, where only cupsys-driver-gutenprint is installed. The driver
indeed seems to be present:

I encounter the same problem on a desktop computer with a video board
ATI Radeon 9600 PRO. The 3D acceleration works by default with the open
source ati driver, but clicking on Enable desktop effects makes the
content of the windows disappear.
