This bug affects me as well, when hovering over activities.
It happens on multiple machines, both 64-bit; one Nvidia and one ATI.
It does not always happen; usually after a re-load (after the crash) the

Problem is still present. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 14z with a clean
install of Ubuntu 11.10 and Gnome3.
Turning off Bluetooth puts the computer into Flight Mode and therefore
shuts Wifi down. The only way to connect back is to turn the flight mode
off, turning Bluetooth on and only then wifi.

Problem has not reoccurred since I lodged my comment on Launchpad on 16
June. It had occurred several times over about a 2 week period befor then.
I run Update Manager regularly and I believe Firefox has been updated to
version 5.0 since then.
I have version 10.3.181.34ubuntu0.11.04.1 of Flash
I did some more playing around with this and I found my GDMSESSION
variable is set to default. If I add:
export GDMSESSION=$DESKTOP_SESSION
if [ $GDMSESSION = default ] ; then
export GDMSESSION=gnome
fi
then Unity will start correctly. It doesn't seem to cause any problems if the

headphone. Bluetooth was not enabled. After reading some similar bug
reports, I decided to kill bluetoothd and then start it again. After
doing that, the Bluetooth service was operational. After another
Setting 'export GDMSESSION=$DESKTOP_SESSION' at the top of
/etc/kde4/kdm/Xsession didn't work for me. It appeared I already had
compiz-gnome, unity, and compiz-core installed, so I didn't bother with
that step.
