This happens to me too. Bionic freezes on the splash screen. I can get in via recovery mode but that's it. Also this guy on Ask Ubuntu has a similar Xorg.0.log where at the end the power button, keyboard, and mouse get removed. https://askubuntu.com/questions/1029384/can-not-start-xorg-after-

I'm on Ubuntu 16.04. I had previously ripped a bunch of CD's to my computer. When I was uploading them via Deja Dup to Amazon S3 under details some of the apostrophes in the titles were converted to u2019. After the upload was complete if I chose "restore missing files" in an album folder the
