This is insanely useful and I believe that we should make it possible to
use this feature if the user has enough RAM. Because toram doesn't work,
making a Live persistent USB stick is much harder that it needs to be on
a netbook...

this still needs to be fixed. Heres how to get (bad) add to panel
support: First, remove the Window Picker applet (yes, you CAN get this
back!), and go to the home screen using the "Go Home" button. Now, you

After making room for files to be written, the bug disappeared.
Therefore, I can conclude that the bug was most likely caused by
insufficient disk space. When the hard disk is nearly full, but Ubuntu
One tries to sync new files anyways, it runs out of space which
apparently was what caused the issu
It could be possible that it is a system hardware limitation and not an
actual bug, but I agree that the brightness should change much faster
