Did this issue occur in a previous version of Ubuntu, or is this a new
issue? - This issue occurred with the latest stable release and
updated version of Ubuntu 14.04. It looks like this has been an issue in
previous version of Ubuntu from looking at other bug reports.
Would it be possible
My new Asus Q501LA's touchpad is also not responding to touch or clicks.
I'd like to know how I can log my issue in with this one.

After installing Ubuntu 14.04 on my Asus Q501LA Notebook the touchpad
does not work. After doing some further investigation I found that the
OS doesn't even recognize that the touchpad even exists. I was running
Windows 8.1 before installing Ubuntu 14.04 and the touchpad
