I just upgraded to Ubuntu Jaunty.
I use evolution to connect to three different mail accounts, all via IMAP:
1. A regular gmail account.
2. A google apps for your domain gmail account.
3. An IMAP account hosted by my university.

On a fresh install of Jaunty a6 hal starts in runlevel 2, and
x11-common starts in runlevel 5, so the hal/X11 trick is probably not a

Today I upgraded to Intrepid from Hardy. The IPW2200 wireless card in my
toshiba portege m200 isn't functioning. When modprobing ipw2200, dmesg
reports that the firmware is unavailable. I've confirmed that it is not
present in /lib/firmware/2.6.27-4-generic .
