I recently switched from LM Cinnamon build to LM MATE build. Everything
went fine at first, but now I experience issues where my screen goes
black showing only the underscore flashing.

While browsing through 'System Log Viewer' tool on the system, I noticed a few 
lines saying things like 'kernel bug' or 'firmware bug'. After no luck on the 
forums, I was told that I should put this up here.
