I second that. In addition, reducing it to 150ms would reduce the flicker Fade to focus produces for some of us. See comment 2 in bug #147141. -- Fade focus effect should be half the length https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/146753 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubunt

[Bug 147141] Re: [Gutsy] Focus and fade effect don't correctly play with each other with Compiz

2007-10-02 Thread Eduardo Jose Moreira
I can confirm this on latest Gutsy (as of October 2, 2007). Using Normal effects, Fade on focus has an annoying flicker (it's stressing); when using Extra effects, the Fade on focus is smooth, no signs of flicker (very relaxing). Is there some missing option or plug-in in Normal that causes this

Erm, another rectification: the nautilus window is not shown when login after a fresh boot. Subsequent times (e.g. logout and then login) it's usually shown. What a nuissance! -- bottom panel not visible when desktop starts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147070 You received this bug notification

I should rectify the second paragraph in my previous comment: after today's update (October 1, 2007) the nautilus window is always shown after login (using Compiz). Many thanks for the fix, you rock hard! -- bottom panel not visible when desktop starts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147070 You

I can confirm this too; just happens with Compiz, not with Metacity. Just click anywhere in the desktop and the bottom panel comes from the void. Also, it's not just the bottom panel that's not visible; I have "session restore" set, and when I login, a Nautilus window I left opened at previous log

[Bug 147351] Window not visible at session restore with Compiz

2007-09-30 Thread Eduardo Jose Moreira
Public bug reported: Hi, this happens in latest Gutsy beta with Compiz (and using option "session restore"). In Compiz, when I leave just *one* window opened, strange things can happen at session restore. When the window is Nautilus, the window is restored at next login (is shown briefly)

Still happens as of 28/09/2007, after updating Gutsy (it's up to date, so it should be Gutsy beta now). Switcher and gnome-applets are same versions as before the update (switcher 2.20.0.1, gnome-applets 2.20.0-0ubuntu1). Just gnome-panel has new version: gnome-panel 2.20.0.1-0ubuntu4. -- Same t
