2 - Clic droit sur une image raw image.cr2
3- clic sur propriétés
La fenêtre des propriétés s'ouvre mais reste bloquée : pas d'onglets,
impossibilité de séléctionner du texte, fermeture impossible.

How I got the problem :
1- Open a photo folder with Nautilus
2- right click on a .cr2 photo (raw Canon photo)
3- chose Properties
Result :
1- the properties windows pop up but in dead
No active buttons, no way to select text, no way to close it
2- Trying to close
I am not sure... Works OK with Jpeg

I don't agree at all with your conclusion.
The window manager allows correctly the move through the different
desktops with all the applications I used.
VLC is the only one to disappear.
Hence, I agree this is an interface problem between desktop manager
(Unity) and VLC, but in my opinion the
Some details :
1- automatic pause was ON at the first try.
2- I disabled it and made the try corresponding to the log.
3- The sound is still here , but the vlc window disappeared and could not be
found anywhere.
The only hint about vlc is its icon in systray which can't restore the
playing

VLC is playing a movie in a normal window (not full-screen)
If I right click on the title, I have a menu allowing to move the
current window to another workspace.
When I do this, the windows close, vlc stop playing, and the windows
disapear.

I try to move / copy backup files stored on an Iomega personnal NAS.
Sometimes, it works, sometime it hangs but I have no idea of the cause :
- number of files ?
- size of files ?
- other?
I am not sure it's Nautilus, but that was automatically chosed by Apport
