Public bug reported:
I have deleted an old package called bundsteg_1.2-2 in order to upload a newer
version, namely bundsteg_1.2-3 at ppa.launchpad.net/~estellnb/ubuntu/elstel/.
Unfortunately the new and the old package contain one file which is the same,
that is bundsteg_1.2.orig.tar.gz
Xchroot 2.7.4-7 comes with many new features. Dbus session creation and
/dev/shm mounting satisfy the need even of exigent GUI programs like the
Otter browser. The new version has a /media and subdirectory automounter
which is especially useful for mirroring mounts of removable media. It

How can I add my package?

It is not found by the menu interface, neither under distribution/Ubuntu nor
under project if I visit +editstatus as suggested above.

No, that seems to be an error. I have again once more changed it to be

Hi Pascal! Unfortunately I have again discovered issues with the Brother
MFC9840CDW drivers. However this time I do not have a proprietary driver
which I could use as replacement. See for Bug #1529687 and Bug #1529690.

If I do it this way all four settings work without a problem:
color 2400x2400
monochrom 2400x2400
color 1200x1200
monochrom 1200x1200
Only the 'controlled by print quality settings' seem malicious.

Sorry there is nowhere something like a Printout Mode tab page under
administration. I can not even list printers there. It simply does not
work. My only access path is via the printer (Drucker) tab page. Can
not find this. I could not even switch the language to en as it
ignores DefaultLanguage
I don`t see any 'manual printing mode' at localhost:631 via cups. There is just
print quality(draft/normal/high, color/monochrom), page size: A4, media source:
printer default, double side printing: off; printed via printing a 'test page'.
High quality gray scale yields exactly the same result:
normal mode printing still works fine.

While we are making progress towards a higher error position things still do

Is there really no easy way to grab the output of the BR3 Script driver?
via CUPS, USB or LAN? LAN would be the last way to go but I could
capture the traffic with wireshark, tcpdump or so. Would you be up to
have a look at it? Anway, thanks for your commitment, Pascal.

I don`t see why the setting should not make sense. I believe you just
did not get it right yet. Is there any reason why it works with the BR-
Script3 but not with the pxlcolor driver?

The package openprinting-ppds does not contain a single ppd! Downloading
via a questionable script by http is as unsafe as downloading by hand.
Moreover it is not suitable for offline use. Sorry I can not use that
package as long as ppds + scripts are not included.

It is the same with the Fommatic/pxlcolor driver; see Bug 1377177.
The proprietary drivers continue to work well. However they are not shipped by
default with any distribution. That is why I do not want to continue to use
them (convenience, security issue).

Better with 2.6.32.1. However merely time can show whether the problem
