touchpad not working with kernel 6.8

I have this bug in 20.10 (upgraded from 20.04). On shutdown it always
waits for 90 seconds, then it times out and the shutdown proceeds
normally. I have the same log as in:

1) I have no auto-login.
2) I have no Dash to Dock installed, so I cannot even try the workaround from
#7.
3) It is 100% reproducible.
4) If I don't lock the screen manually (that is with Win+L) everything works
properly.

4.4.0-38-generic reboots
Downloaded kernel 4.4.23, rebooted in it, compiled in zfs, waiting now
to see if it reboots or not. So far it was up for 40 minutes. If
everything goes well, I'll wait several hours, and mark the ticket as
instructed. If not, I'll mark ticket as instructed faster. :-)

When upgrading a server to 4.4.0-38-generic, it started to reboot every
~45 minutes without any visible reasons. Logs look fine. Just reboots.
My other computer (a desktop) works fine with the same setup. Another
difference: the server hosts ZFS raid.

All three files (error_log, printout, ppd) are attached as requested.
printout appears to be a PDF file, and it shows the output as I get it:
black and white, while on the screen it is colored. I double-checked
printer and gedit settings --- color is on in both of them.

I wanted to share a directory, and was asked to install (Samba). When I
clicked Install nautilus crashed. I tried to repeat it, and it crashed
again.
Interesting thing is I used to share those directories before the
upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04, but somehow Samba was uninstalled during the
upgrade.
BTW, it is not Logitech specific --- I have this problem with Miscrosoft
Bluetooth mouse.
Does it have a broadcomm-based usb receiver?
It uses the built-in Bluetooth module in my notebook.

Same problem here. I have the latest feisty, and I have to sudo hidd
--search after rebooting, and periodically after that to re-attach the
mouse. I cannot unplug/re-plug the dongle because my notebook has the
internal Bluetooth module.
