Thanks for the correction. Basically you flag all residual config's for
complete removal and then install a package. The package is installed and
the residual configs removed.

I have a similar problem after upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 on my
Samsung NB28 laptop. Left and Right buttons work in Firefox but not on
the Desktop or Workspaces.
